I’m Corey, also known as the Yankee Thrifter. I am currently living in a very small New England town in north Western Massachusetts and eBay is my full time job. I would consider myself an entrepreneur who is full of Yankee ingenuity.
Yankee ingenuity, what is that? Call it what you will; know how, self reliance and individual enterprise, I’ve got it! Growing up in New England tolerating harsh winters and being influenced by family who were deeply religious, survived the depression and can trace its entry in the United States through Ellis Island has a way of instilling virtue, resourcefulness, survival and a need to explore. All of these traits contribute to my becoming a successful writer and purveyor of thrifting finds. In short, I sell on eBay, Amazon and Etsy and am making a full time living from the results.
While Amazon and Etsy are an integral part of my income, my major source of income is coming from eBay. EBay happens to be the format for selling that I certainly am enjoying the most. EBay falls in line with my buying practices. I enjoy shopping at thrift stores, auctions, estate sales, garage sales and occasionally practice retail and online arbitrage. EBay ends up being my selling platform of choice because the items I end up purchasing are antique, vintage, one of a kind, unusual, original, used, no longer in production and sometimes just downright strange.
I have been an active seller and buyer on eBay since it began, however, it wasn’t until late into 2014 that I decided to push myself and work to earn a full time living using reselling online and eBay. By the beginning of 2015, I was able to quit my full time job and by mid 2015 my only job was working from home online through eBay, Amazon and Etsy.
My blogging will focus mainly on my eBay business and bring engaging posts for you to learn from and discuss. I have broken down the blog into several pages.
